Saturday 5th September: Paint and Sip 6:30-8:30pm , Paint a Portrait of your Dad

A fun evening creating your painted masterpiece, while enjoying a cocktail or two and fun times with friends.

Located at Two-Tides Café (50 Bulcock Street, Caloundra) you will enjoy a welcoming cocktail or mocktail whilst getting organised and listening to starting instructions from your painting master (A Little Creative Teacher).

We will explain all necessary painting details: background, foreground. Consideration of overall composition and balance, and painting techniques. We encourage individual expression and ideas – but will help you to keep things simple and effective for novice/nervous artists too. Your art teacher will be nearby every step of the way, and the bar is open all evening too!

This particular topic choice focuses on a portrait of your Dad/Grandpa/etc. so bring along a reference picture to work from. We will help you to sketch and compose your portrait piece, select and mix the best colours and develop your painting technique and style to best suit the image and your ability level.

*Some students may need longer time to complete their artwork – so they can take it home for finishing details, or return to the studio another time to work on it with teacher guidance.
