Description
A challenging hand-building activity to construct a standing clay person. This activity is best suited to ages 10 – to adults and people who already have some clay building experience or are good at following our step-by-step directions.
Your person will involve 2 x pinch-pots joined together as the head, a pinch-pot body, and slab/rolled legs and arms. Getting them to all fit together and be able to stand is the biggest challenge – but our teachers are there to help – and many will not have their legs actually attached until a couple of days later when they have dried a bit more.
Just 6 spaces available.
Your clay person will be bisque fired in approx. 3 weeks, and is then ready to underglaze paint (if you didn’t get to do this in the first workshop), and will then need a second glaze firing – so ready to pick up in about 5-6weeks from class date. All firings and painting time included in the initial fee.
Make your person unique and in any style you like! – maybe it is yourself, or someone you know – or a garden gnome!?
